Objective Assessment Protocols
The standardized functional assessment protocols included on the system provide objective assessments of:

  • Weight bearing symmetry
  • Sensory interaction on balance
  • Voluntary motor control
  • Neuromuscular coordination

The following standardized assessment protocols are included on the Basic Balance Master®:

Limits of Stability (LOS)
modified Clinical Test for the Sensory Interaction on Balance (mCTSIB)
Unilateral Stance (US)
Rhythmic Weight Shift (RWS)
Weight Bearing Squat (WBS)

Balance Master photoSystematic Training Protocols
Interactive, functional training exercises using visual biofeedback, coupled with sensitive, real-time monitoring of movement motivates patients to achieve greater balance control faster.
Exercises can be tailored to meet individual patient needs and can be progressed as the patient’s capabilities improve.
Training protocols include:

  • Seated balance/strength training
  • Standing balance/weight bearing training
  • Mobility training
  • Closed chain training

Tasks can also be adapted and/or enhanced with optional system accessories such as a rocker board, inclined wedges and step-up boxes, or with the standard foam pad included with the system.

Automated Documentation
The system automatically documents initial assessments and training compliance for verification of patient progress and functional outcomes.
