The Backsystem3 is a revolutionary stretching device that is compact, ergonomically efficient, extremely simple and safe to use, for stretching of the lumbar spine, lower extremities, upper back muscles, shoulder, chest and more.

The BackSystem3 was designed to specifically provide a mechanical aide during flexion stretching of the soft tissue musculature and enhances the lumbo-pelvic biomechanics. BackSystem3 enables the user to control the amount of flexion while stretching tense or spasmodic muscles. Used properly, the BackSystem 3 can relieve lower back stress, increase lumbar pelvic range of motion (flexibility), and reduce muscle spasms.

A normal lumbo-pelvic range of motion during flexion and re-extension helps in reducing the occurrence and predisposition of lower back injuries. The movement is at the hips, not L4, L5. The BackSystem3 is 45.5 inches long, 24 inches wide, 31.5 inches high, and weighs 75 pounds. The machine is designed to provide flexion at a minimum of 65 degrees and up to maximum of 86 degrees, while the user sits on a 30 degree incline seat. The roller configuration not only provides comfort, but also adds an important lever arm that initiates a repetitive guiding force during flexion. The roller platform is also used to aid in stretching the hamstrings.
